i just found this poem beneath my clothes here while packing them away. i wrote this poem when i was a freshman in highschool. what it lacks in intelligence it makes up in innocence. what i would give to go back there.
two naked bodies lay
side by side
and listen to the beating chords of rainfall
like wild indians
on an innocence mission

they sink deeper
a single blanket
and jump slightly
(only slightly)
at the touch,
of the other
they fall asleep,
just this way.
singing them to sleep
